Richey Capacitor, Inc. has enjoyed a
successful and distinguished history in the manufacturing and marketing of aluminum
electrolytic capacitors since its incorporation in Nashville, Tennessee in 1965. The
company's founder, R. Royce Richey, has been active in the electronics' industry since
1954 and was influential in developing the subminiature electrolytic capacitor market in
the United States. A thorough knowledge of all facets of capacitor design and
manufacturing, coupled with a high degree of technology in its manufacturing plants, has enabled Richey to remain
one of the most successful overseas manufacturers of capacitors.
Richey is headquartered in
Nashville, Tennessee where the company markets the capacitors manufactured
by its affiliated factories located in China and Taiwan. Customers include
industry leaders such as General Electric, Lowrance, Flextronics, Pemstar,
Special Devices, and Waterpik..
We have all the current
certifications including ISO 9002 and ISO 14001, as well as the automotive
industry's strict QS 9000 certification. Also, all of our snap-in and screw
terminal capacitors are UL recognized.
Richey also is engaged in
several joint-venture relationships with other companies located in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and
China. These factories supply high quality electronic components to Richey directly and
through its international trading company, Traco Ltd. Traco Ltd. has over 30 years
experience in connecting quality manufacturers in the Far East with customers located
around the globe. Traco Ltd. maintains offices and staff in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai,
Guangzhou, and Taipei -- giving it immediate access to the fastest growing economy in the
world.
